• Tyler was once elected to compete for his school in athletics. He passed districts, and went onto championships. He missed out on one place, from going to regionals

• Tyler used to be homeless, but then was discovered by a photographer. Because of his fit body and unique face, he was booked right away to do runway shows.

• Tyler's parents, Richard Denk and Joan Jackson, are divorced, because the father wasn't taking care of Tyler when he was young.

• Tyler and James Branaman auditioned for season 9, but was unsuccessful, so they came back the year after, and became one of the 12 teams on the tenth season ( and the next thing you knew is that he's the winner together with James Branaman).
